Police confirmed that the male suspect was taken to a nearby hospital after being shot by police. The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. EDT Monday. Americans reportedly killed in Brussels attack

JUST IN Belgian federal prosecutors said a man named Faycal C had been charged with participation in a terrorist group, terrorist killings and attempted terrorist killings. It was unclear, though, whether those were the casualties the USA official and Kerry were referring to. Earlier this week, police found a large stash of explosives and other bomb-making materials in an apartment there they believe the attackers in Tuesday's airport bombings had used as a safe house and bomb-making hub.
