Seasonally adjusted, Miami had lower prices this month than last and 10 other cities saw smaller increases in December compared with November, according to Case-Shiller. Redfin said that in January the number of clients making offers on homes fell 6.4%. But buyers face a dilemma: the number of listings on the market has fallen, giving them fewer choices and pushing prices to rise quickly. (more...)

The estimated risk of tumors is six cases to 30 cases per 100,000 people, more than the two to nine cases in the earlier report, said the CDC, which was notified about the error by " 60 Minutes ". The governor's office says the money comes in the form of a grant aimed at reimbursing the city for $2 million it paid to switch the city's water supply back to the Detroit water system in October. Further, McCormick added testing for lead and copper occurs within the more than 125 communities served by the water authority and no community serviced by the water authority, formerly the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, has reported any lead issues. U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy says he wants to connect health care providers with community support networks as part of an effort to help Flint residents amid the city's crisis with lead-tainted water.
