Health officials say about 80 percent of people who are infected with West Nile do not get sick, and less than one percent of those infected get seriously ill. Paul Byers. Inmate fatally stabbed in Maryland prison

Maryland State Police are investigating death of an inmate late Sunday at a state prison in Jessup. Investigators say Smith was found January 18 in his cell with multiple injuries. Multiple suspects were taken into custody, though as of Monday morning state police had not announced any charges in O'Sullivan's death. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services personnel. (more...)
