Seahawks in LA looking for first road win of season

It's the one conundrum the Seahawks have yet to solve. For whatever reason, they've also had plenty of success versus the Seahawks in recent years, covering the spread in seven of the last 10 meetings and five straight at home versus Seattle. The lowest record a year ago for the wildcard slots was 9-7 and was enough to snatch Detroit a playoff slot against the Seahawks. It will be up to the rest of the defensive line, guys like Sheldon Richardson and Michael Bennett, to elevate their level of play to compensate for the loss of Avril.

The Seahawks have notoriously been slow starters during the Russell Wilson era.

It's rare for a kicker to be the true star of a game, but this has happened a few times this year already.

There was more energy at the Coliseum on Sunday than for a typical Rams game, but part of that was the healthy contingent of Seahawks fans sitting behind the visitors' sideline. The Rams are slight favorites to win the game, now listed as 1.5 point favorites against the spread.

About half of league's playoff teams change over on a yearly basis.

The 2014 Seahawks reverted back to the status quo of having early season struggles.

Just when Seattle thought that it had found its lead running back, they have to start the search all over again.

This will be a fun chess match to watch between Wilson and Los Angeles defensive coordinator Wade Phillips.

Game 1 start is why Yankees traded for Sonny Gray
The Twins did not go down without a fight, however, as the club got off to a hot start only to have the Yankees match. Following the three run first inning, Brett Garnder hit a solo home run to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead.

With Sherman dealing with Watkins and the Seahawks excellent middle-of-the-field defenders shadowing Kupp, Woods could be a fallback target for Goff against Seattle's Jeremy Lane.

In the second half of last week's 46-18 win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Seahawks turned in a complete performance on offense, defense, and special teams to outscore the Colts 36-3. Los Angeles have scored 142 points in the first four games which is incredible from a team that was struggling so much past year. Are they threats in the NFC West? The Seahawks ran 66 plays, but they only had 241 yards of total offense and two turnovers.

RED ZONE WOES: While the Rams' offence has been undeniably transformed by McVay, it still can't score touchdowns consistently. The Seahawks offensive line is disgusting and is causing numerous three-and-outs per game. Now they are going to get five and six from coordinator Wade Phillips' 3-4 scheme. These long touchdowns are due to exhaustion because of putrid offensive play. They also have some of the most eye-catching sign up bonuses and reload bonuses to keep you coming for more.

Anytime you allow 16 points, you expect to win, especially when you have the No. 1 scoring offense in the league. They're heading for Jacksonville, then London, will have a week off, then go to NY.

The Los Angeles Rams are challenging the Seattle Seahawks in what's suddenly a matchup for supremacy in the NFC West.

McVay, in his first season, is the architect of the Rams (3-1) unbelievable turnaround. The Seahawks now sit on -225 with the Rams next in line at +350.

With starting safety Lamarcus Joyner, out of the lineup Sunday with a hamstring injury, the Rams chose to bench their other starter, Maurice Alexander, and replace him with Johnson, a third-round draft pick. They've done it before; they should have the benefit of the doubt.

Rawls was averaging 5.6 yards per carry and had 870 yards when injuries first started derailing his burgeoning career.
