Tony Adams has insisted Arsene Wenger can not "let go" at Arsenal, arguing that his old manager is suffering from an "addiction".

Arsene Wenger will attend an Arsenal board meeting created to resolve his future on Tuesday having already agreed the terms of a new two-year contract at the club as long ago as November, sources have told ESPN FC.

Wenger is expected to have a two-year contract announced tomorrow, but despite an official announcement, Twitter as well as many news sources are reported confirmation of his new deal, with it having been public knowledge that the 67 year-old and the board were to sit down today.

The Gunners signed Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding early in the window but waited until the final days to sign Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez.

The Italian led the West London side to an emphatic Premier League triumph this term following the Blues' poor campaign last season finishing 10th in the top-flight.

He told reporters: "You can always say it was a first start of the season and first of being captain".

Kevin Love repeatedly hurt the Celtics , too, and this Cavaliers group might have a better synergy now than ever before. That's an even bigger margin than a year ago, when the Warriors were minus-210 and the Cavs were plus-180.

Wenger and club owner Stan Kroenke met on Monday to determine the Frenchman's future, with the decision relayed to directors at a Tuesday board meeting.

However, they managed to win FA Cup after beating English Premier League champions Chelsea 2-1 in the final at Wembley.

It was a special moment for Wenger personally, with the beleaguered manager claiming a seventh FA Cup winners' medal. "If they give me the possibility to stay here and extend my contract, for sure I will be able to do this", the former Italy worldwide told a news conference. While the 50-year-old labelled Wenger "one of the greatest managers of all time", and admitted he still carries "compassion" for him, Adams said his old boss is incapable of letting go.

"I was delighted for him on Saturday", Adams said. I kept patting him on the back, being friendly, while Rob kept on talking to him.

Thus ended Chelsea's hopes of securing a double this season, while Arsenal got a trophy to dress up what has been an otherwise dismal season by the club's standards.

After finishing fifth in the EPL, Wenger and Arsenal missed out on Champions League football for the first time in 20 seasons. "I think I have shown you that I have exactly the same commitment".
