Wizards handle Celtics to tie series at 2-2

Isaiah Thomas on Wizards: 'We don't like them, they don't like us'

This second-round National Basketball Association playoff series between the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards has been ripe for overreaction.

After struggling to find his shot in the first three games of the series, Beal put together his best game since the first round. "We're capable of those type of runs every game", said Morris, who finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

We knew that the Wizards were great at home and somewhat lousy on the road, so I guess you could say that things have gone as planned.

"I'm not saying that's the reason we lost".

Wall connected on his first field goal, a three with six minutes left in the second quarter, to cap a 9-0 run and draw the Wizards within five, 40-35.

That wasn't all from Wall on the day, as he accounted for 27 points, 12 assists, three boards and five steals as the Wizards tied things up with Boston.

Rain arrives for start of Kentucky Derby weekend
Thunder Snow , with current odds of 16-1, is said to be in peak form for the 2017 Kentucky Derby , as reported by The Telegraph . Jockey Jose Ortiz, who has been aboard for Tapwrit's last three races, will guide the Tapit colt. "The horse was a little green".

"It's probably our best stretch of basketball", Brooks proclaimed. Only Otto Porter, who scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting in the quarter, kept the Wizards afloat. The right-hander was lifted after throwing 93 pitches, but not before proving he's still got the stuff that enabled him to go 16-6 last season. Unlike their previous playoff match-up against the Chicago Bulls, the Celtics won their first two games at TD Garden.

Thomas scored 17 of his 19 points in the first half and didn't get to the free throw line all night, as he came out of the game with just over six minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Wizards upped their defensive intensity, which set in motion a sequence of forced turnovers and fastbreak buckets that led to a 26-0 run. Bradley Beal agreed with Brooks' claim, and added some more insight into how the 26-0 run happened: defense. John is one of the fastest point guards in the league. Thanks to 34 points off turnovers, the series is even with the Cleveland Cavaliers waiting in the Eastern Conference final. After two stirring comeback wins to start the second round, the Celtics have surrendered momentum to the Wizards, but none of that matters if Boston can protect their home floor.

"We feel like we're in control", Wall said.

"It's a must-win for us in Boston", Porter said. Eight technical fouls were called in that game along with Oubre's flagrant-2 foul.

"[The Wizards] were very physical", Thomas said, via ESPN. He said he knew he had to be aggressive, and Brooks was never anxious about the All-Star guard losing his confidence or passing up good looks. They were 24 good minutes from taking a 3-1 series lead. Wall scored all 27 of his points in the second and third quarters after not scoring in the first quarter at all. All early signs pointed to the Celtics avenging their blowout loss in Game 3. By the time the dust settled, the Wizards were sitting on a 73-55 lead, which proved insurmountable. The point is that the Celtics cracked when the opponents turned up the pressure - specifically on Thomas, which highlighted the Celtics' lack of skill and athleticism.
