Aussies in NBA Playoffs: Maker and Delly help Bucks upset Raptors

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Raptors' All-Star guard is averaging just 13.3 points in the first round of the playoffs in the past two seasons.

Line: Raptors -7. Total 200.5.

The Toronto Raptors sure didn't look like the No. 3 seed in the east on Saturday during their 97-83 blowout home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

He also helped shut down Raptors star Kyle Lowry. Lowry returned for Toronto on April 5 and scored 27 points at Detroit. This year, Milwaukee's first round opponent is Toronto and they will be on the road for Game 1. Credit him. Now we've got to make sure we counter that and make the officials make a decision.

Game one against the Bucks was just Lowry's fifth appearance since a 21-game absence due to a wrist injury.

However, those talking heads on television were proven wrong. "Maybe you guys from outside can tell us".

Marc Gasol had 32 points, but only seven in the second half as the Grizzlies fell behind by as many as 36 points.

Clippers clinch No. 4 playoff seed with 115-95 rout of Kings
As the Utah Jazz prepare to face the Clippers, they must be wondering which version of the Clippers will show up. For the Clippers , it's how starting small forward Luc Mbah a Moute handles Utah star Gordon Hayward .

But no other Raptor played particularly well on a night when everything that could go wrong did for the Raptors. As a team, the Bucks enjoyed a 17-4 margin on the fast break. The Bucks do not wow anybody with their statistical numbers. The forward had nine assists against Toronto in Game 1 but was held to 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting in 40 minutes. Those are very pedestrian numbers. Antetokounmpo reminds him of one former teammate in particular. "We've gotta talk and figure out certain situations-what we want to do, who we want to send over for a double team, who we don't want to switch on".

One of the most intriguing players in this year's draft is Ryan Ramczyk, a behemoth 6-foot-6, 310-offensive tackle from the University of Wisconsin. The Bucks find scoring baskets a lot more hard than the Raptors, but Khris Middleton, Greg Monroe and likely rookie of the year Malcolm Brogdon are the ones who'll have to help out Antetokounmpo carve out his playoff legacy with the Bucks.

There is still a long way to go for this exciting Milwaukee team. Antetokounmpo also averaged 24.8 PPG, 7.8 RPG and 7 APG against Toronto this season. Khris Middleton missed the first 50 games of the season after injuring his left hamstring in the preseason. "For whatever reason, we're better with our backs against the wall", Casey said.

Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in a playoff career-high 28 points and put on a clinic on both ends of the floor to lead his team.

DeMar DeRozan laughed when asked about the legality of Dellavedova's screens.

NEED TO KNOW: Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas is preparing to play Game 2 before flying out Tacoma, Washington to be with his family to finalize funeral arranges for his younger sister. Middleton's fadeaway jumper made it a 10-point lead with 9:33 to play. Casey probably stuck with Jonas Valanciunas a little bit too long, and when Casey was willing to play small, he didn't always get Toronto's best five on the court. Still bad versus IN last season and now worst of all versus Milwaukee. Toronto did a decent job taking care of the ball, only turning it over 11 times, but the Bucks were phenomenal at taking care of the ball, registering just five turnovers in the game.

By the time Raptors coach Dwane Casey put his bench players into the game in the dying minutes, the cranky ACC crowd was barely two-thirds full.
